Prayer  – Glorious Gospel

I am overwhelmed at this moment…with the gloriousness of the gospel!  God; Creator, holy and just, righteous and true…sending His own Son to die for wretched, sinful, unrighteous me (us)…suffering in my (our) place….that He might bring me (us) to God!  God, who offers forgiveness; who offers to absolve me (us) of our debt against Him for our sins; who has paid the cost HIMSELF, who desires to restore relationship with me (us)…and then NEVER leave me (us)…Who offers hope, joy, peace, grace, love, strength, forgiveness….through His Son’s death, burial, and resurrection…this God, this God…whose love is unfathomable…it overwhelms me today.  Gives me strength and makes the troubles of my morning seem so trivial and stupid.  May this truth encourage your hearts today as well!

Grip us anew with the gloriousness of the gospel!  May it resound and reverberate in our hearts today!  May it inspire worship in the little moments of today when we are tempted to complain and despair.  Transform our hearts to worship today, I pray.
