A gospel reset
There’s a notion and thought
When my perspective gets skewed
When abundance distracts my focus
When my sight goes dark
When the way becomes bleak
When my view of God is lost
When all I can see is failure
When pain is a way of life
When disappointments hurt lingers long
When all I see rushes at me
Like a tidal wave of brokenness
A gospel reset
When my view of the world
Is missing hope, joy, and peace
What is needed is not some new solution
What is needed is not the correction of all that is wrong
What is needed is not the cessation of all pain
What is needed is
A gospel reset
All the world is meant to be seen
Through blood washed eyes
In a shade of crimson red
Pain, sorrow, disappointment and failure
All look different when viewed
With a crucified Savior in view
Abundance and blessing take their proper place
When brought to knee before a cross
The gospel
Not just for sinners
Also for saints
When our perspective and view gets derailed
A gospel reset
Will bring our view back into focus
And set our heart straight.

Colossians 3:1–4 (ESV): 3 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
