Good morning Abba,

Make us, as your body, your bride, cognizant of your ever present nearness.  Keep us in the thrall and wonder of your glory and majesty!  How easy it is, how often we do drift to lesser affections and feebler delights.  How easy it is to be Ephesus, losing our first love.

Guard our passions and delights for you.  Protect the integrity of our intimacy, the purity of our affections, and the singularity of our attention.

Inflame in us, Oh Mighty One, a burning hunger, an unquenchable thirst, and an abiding desire to know you, see you, dwell with you, abide in you, and never depart from you.

Grant us the deep joy of intimacy and contentment in you in the quiet hours of the morning, the chaotic madness of the day, and in the darkening hour of night.  Watch over us even as we rest and in our sleep,  may our dreams and slumber be filled with the presence of your being in us.

May we in every moment, of every day be ever aware of your presence.  May they be filled with ceaseless conversations.  May they be abundant in thoughts of You, Your will, Your truth, Your guiding in all of our thoughts and actions.

May our lips ever praise you and proclaim your wonders to any who are directed into our steps.  May we never shy away from bold proclamation of your being and works.  May thanksgiving, praise, and worship flow as easily from us as a mountain stream cascading down the slopes and flowing off to the shining sea.

May the noise, clamor, and the troubles of this life never rob us of the refuge of your presence, of the safety of praise, of the haven of worship.  May the darkness of the world never impress a fear so deep that the light of your glory seem small and distant.

Abba, oh, yes, Abba, bring us as your body to a place of ever present resting, dwelling, delighting, and exuding your grace and glory of your ever present dwelling with us.
