Luke 2:10

Why does man fear
when The Divine comes near?

Because we fear that which
we cannot contain in our niche.

And God, You cannot be contained.
Your might is unapologetically unrestrained.

Your nature?  Altogether unique. 
Distinct from those of us You seek.

Yet the wonder of grace is this—
You stepped across that unique abyss

You made the foreign and strange
a familiar and intimate exchange.

Grace tenderly drew You near
So we no longer needed fear.

Intimacy replaced the unknown.
And grace made us Your own.
