John 1:14

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2025), Jn 1:14.

Experience is a capricious thing.
Oft confusion it does bring.

It may reveal and confirm truth.
Or it may throb like a rotten tooth.

Experience is experience alone
with no agenda or purpose of its own.

It simply is;
the product of all— — — this.

Thus, experience alone should not be
the teacher we depend upon to fully see.

Experience must be explained
through truth’s grid, eternally sustained.

Truth never fails
no, not even when experience wails.

Truth never lies
not even when experience belies.

So, when experience screams
and life unravels at the seams—

Be wary of trusting any
but truth’s infinite plenty.

Truth, not experience, must guide.
Truth must protect from falling aside.

Truth is experience’s guardrail
ensuring that accuracy does prevail.

Trust truth, not experience’s design,
and worship when they do happen to align.

Trust truth, which never breaks,
never distorts, never makes mistakes.

Abba, You are that truth—unapologetic.
You bring order and understanding to the frenetic.

May experience always be
subservient to truth’s reality.
