Across the brilliant expanse; 
Man to trap in sputtering dance.

Spitting and rubbing feverishly, 
He wipes urgently and furtively, 

Even as web’s grip tenaciously clings,
Glitteringly smug as the morning sun sings. 

Man’s cries and shouts
Rise and fall in fits and bouts,

As spider chuckles away 🕷️
In self-assurance’s sway.

Bemused with his success;
He admires his work’s finesse.
