Hebrew 4:13; 1 John 3:20; Ps 139:1-6
Nothing is nameless
To You
Eternal God.
Nothing is shrouded
In mystery’s
Darkling facade.
All is laid bare
In the stare
Of Divine prescience—
Eternity’s perfect
all-knowing.
Mystery is mysterious
To You.
Secrecy,
The unknown
Cannot remain so
In the presence
Of One
Who IS
Knowledge.
Mystery is
as foreign
And strange
To You
As total knowledge
And complete understanding
Is alien
And unfamiliar
to us.
Mystery’s strange
Tentacled touch—
Which to us
Feels
Groping,
Violating,
Dreaded—
Slides from You,
Unaffected,
By unknown’s slippery
Ways.
For all that is unknown
To us
Is intimately
Known—
And seen—
By Your
Piercing,
Unblinking gaze.
Your omniscient mind
Can never,
No never,
Lose itself
In the fog
Of uncertainty’s hesitation.
For
Your mind
IS—
At all times—
The epitome
Of perfect
And complete,
Eternal
Comprehension.
